hi guys, i have a few reference books, and i’m trying to find some pics of WWII german tanks with camo on it. like tree branches, camo nets hanging off the barrels, etc etc. not much luck on my searching the net, or my books, but any pics or sites you can direct me to would be great. looking for how germans camo’d their vehicles. thanks in advance guys.
roosterpelo, my guess would be that the Germans applied it according to preference, mission, and enviroment. You would pretty much be good with anything that was in that area as they probobly used it.

Go here:
Under “zeitraum”, enter the frame dates of “1939-1945”
Under “suchbegriffe” type in keywords (e.g. panzer, sherman, tiger, panther, pak, artillerie, etc.)
Also try this one http://www.panzernet.net/panzernet/stranky/galerie/galerietanky.htm
I just got a book called Panzertaktik. It has a ton of photos (the thing is over 500 pages). I don’t know if I can call them unique (it’s not like I own a ton of reference material or do constant web surfing), but there are many photos that I have not seen before.
I wouldn’t recomend buying the book unless you really want to develop your own panzer library (it’s pricey), but I would see if you can get a copy at your library. [I live in Iowa so the library wasn’t really an option.] It shows pretty much every piece of equipment from the Panzer III to King Tiger in, around and with cover - cover includes using rural outbuildings, hills, and hay/grass to hide under. It even has a picture of a panther with, literally, a bunch of tall sticks (no leaves) proped up on the sides with a caption underneath the photo advising harsh discipline for the lazy tank crew!
unless you are interested in copying a specific photo, I would go with whatever your imagaination cooks up. The only caveat is you still want your crew to be able to mobilize (get in) quickly, so don’t block the main hatches.
