hey guys[:)]-- kinda curious – does anybody make a good rendition of the Soviet IS II (JS II) circa 1944?-- can’t find any reviews on PMMS or anywhere[:(]-- maybe i will build my Dragon Pz.Kpfw.I Ausf. A-- need some inspiration[:P]-- thanks – tread[8D]

Talk about your book-end possibilities!

Can’t help you on the kit front though tread, I’m assuming you’d have to look for something by Zvezda or Eastern Express (or similar manufacturer).

The first Dragon kit I built was an IS-II. For me to break my teeth on Dragon, I was extremely pleased. Almost no filler, just a bit of fit correction to the back panel. I even handled them indy’s with no sweat. Had a nice cast finish too, which really surprised me.

…Yeah, the DML kit is nice…might be a little hard to find…they have a Chinese version out as well (I think) but there is really no difference in the two, just markings…I have one in the stash along with an AWESOME Jaguar interior…the only issue with this kit is that the fender clearance to the tracks might be about 6 scale inches too short…

You gotta add a .040 styrene strip on the top of the lower hull where it joins the upper hull to get the proper clearance for the tracks; otherwise it looks squashed. Dito that for al lthe DML IS-chassis models.

Yes, the fender thing came up in a thread awhile back, didn’t even notice it myself until it was pointed out.

Love to see a Dragon Pz I ausf A in DAK colors…the one I’m finishing is in panzer grey
