looking for help

i just ordered a 1:32 hasegawa f-16 and while i am waiting for it to come all across the world to me (im stationed in iraq) i am a helicopter mechanic and i need something to do in my down time, well any ways i was wondering if anyone here has built it and how good the kit is and if their are any after market things i should look for for it. my second question was i see lots of people putting remove before flight flags on their models and i was wondering since i have limited resources out here what is the best way to make them or do you order them pre made. if you could awnser these questions it would be awesome. thanx alot

Follow this link, copy the end file to your computer, increase size by 1.5 for 1/32 scale and set your printer for high grade if possible - print, cut out and apply. Seems you should be building a CH-46?

Lcpl Holdren,

I cannot assist you with your questions, but there are others here who certainly will; I just wanted to take the time to let you know how much I appreciate your service! [:)]

Be careful, and all the best in your modeling endeavors!

Take care,
Frank

If you want some really nice RBF flags Eduard makes some beautiful color photo etch flags.

Here’s a Link To The 1/48 Scale flags

and Here’s a Link To The 1/32 Scale Flags

The 1/32 are really too big. There are some pix of the 1/48 scale flags on a 1/32 scale ACES II bang seat on my web site at This Link

I have an extra set of 1/48 scale flags here. Email me your mailing address and I’ll send them to you (assuming something metallic going through your mail won’t cause a problem!).

Welcome to the forum and Semper Fidelis. I’ve never built the model but I hear it’s fantastic. Get home safely.

Semper Fi brother, I was a 53 Avi tech myself back in the day! Thank you for your service to our beautiful country, and here is to you coming home safely! [tup]

Welcome to the Forum Devil Dog! There are plenty of folks that can help you here. Stay safe.

I have also built a 1/72 hasegawa f-16 way back in my college days, until now the model is still collecting dust fully built on my display window. Hasegawa makes good kits, but try to look at academy or tamiya too.
On that remove-b4-flight tags, I made it out of masking tape, brushed with red paint and add transfer letters or print it direct from your colored printer.
Its nice to know that you are doing service for all of us peace-loving people, much more nice that you do choppers. I am a devoted rotor modeler, doing 1/72 kits. So far I have now 10 unbuilt kits, ah64,sh60,ch53’s too. Can you help me on my research? can you send me a walk around photo of your chopper? thanks very much.
