Looking for Hampton Roads map

The subject pretty much says it all - I’m looking for a good map of Hampton Roads, either depicting it as it was in 1862 or a period one. Google turned up a lot of maps, but most are too small for my purpose or they actually show ship positions or tracks on it, which I’d rather like to avoid.

I’d be very grateful if someone could give me a clue where I might get a high-resolution scan from.

Thanks in advance,

Jorits

I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure out a simple answer to this; it seems like there ought to be an obvious source for such a map. The problem is that most - nay, all - of the Civil War maps I’m used to consulting already have ship and troop movements marked on them.

I imagine the Mariners’ Museum has at least one nineteenth-century map of Hampton Roads in its archives, and probably has the facilities to make copies. But that institution charges outrageous “research fees.”

I wish I could help. I’ll keep thinking.

Thanks for looking; I guess I’ll in the end either have to draw my own (something at which I’m singularly bad, at least that’s what my students always tell me) or settle for one with tracks and positions on them.

…or scan it, Photoshop out the offending ship icons or tracks, reprint.
