Wanted to get an acryllic wall hanging display case for what I currently have and will be adding…looked at advertised supplier and am concerned that they are not wide or tall enough for what I have…need some suggestions
Personally I would contact the suppliers, and get exact measurements to see if your models will fit.
Work out the price, if freight costs need to be added on etc.
The I would contact the local glazier, or anyone else that supplies perspex, and get a price on having one custom made to suit your requirements.
Go with which ever is cheaper, or better.
I make all my display cases myself, as it’s easier to make a case that fits, rather than having to build models that fit your cases.

Go to www.gemodisplays.com. They make display cases specifically for models. I think that they’re located in either Canton or Akron, Ohio. Don’t remember which.
IMHO, most acrylic cases of the sizes we need to protect our favorite builds from dust and children, are grossly overpriced, given the materials, the labor and the skills required. Well, who knows better than we how to measure, cut and glue together plastic sheet, which is all a display case is made of when you’re talking actrylic. Just thing of it as having to assembly a huge canopy with, and this is my personal preference only, a nice wooden base and a small brass plaque giving the type and maybe such things as pilot, place and anthing of historical signiciance.
But, I’ve wasted a lot of words conveying a very simple message. Try to make your own before you plunk down an insane amount of money for some other guy with less expeience than you to build it.
