Hi,
Does anyone know which company produces a model of the E-2C Hawkeye in 1:72 Scale.
I do know that it exist, but can’t remember the name of the manufacturer.
Any information would be great.
Thanks.
Beau.

Think that Fujimi used to do one, but with their demise, don’t know how easy it will to find one.
I take that back about finding one. Kingkit in the UK has one in stock for £14.99.
Regards.
That would be the Fujimi kit that you are thinking about. It has been around for a while (early 80’s perhaps?) and has been released and re-released with a number of different markings at various times.
As far as I am aware it is currently available in the colours of VAW-115 “Liberty Bells”.
Thanks to all of you for the quick responces.
It is exactly the Fujimi kit that I am looking for.
I just could not rember the name.
Regards,
Beau.
Heller also has a 1/72nd kit. If I’m not mistaken, I think it is a version of the Fujimi kit, too. I think Squadron or Great Models one had them for sale not too long ago.
I have one tucked away in my workshop that I purchased from a vendor at a swap meet for 6 bucks. It,s a 1 / 72 scale E-2A Hawkeye, kit # 0715. Don,t know if their is much of a difference in the outward appearance between the " C " and the " A ". Would have to hear from someone that is familiar with Hawkeyes. It is a Fujimi kit. Maybe the E2A might work for you if you can find one. . Only one set of markings in the kit. USS America, VAW 122, AE tail code.
Frontline Hobbies shows to have 2 different Fujimi kits. Tower Hobbies lists the Heller kit. And, unless you just have to have 1/72 scale, Revell/Germany offers this little jewel available at Hobbies Plus in 1/144 that has recieved some very good reviews.
Hope this helps.
The Heller’s E-2C is the same as Fujimi, i have both of them [:)]

The biggest difference between the A and the C Hawkeye was in the nose forward of the cockpit. Its longer and more streamlined in the C. I believe Fujimi retooled their B kit to make the C kit.
The Fujimi kit really is showing its age, not to mention its not the easiest build out there. It would be nice to see a new tooled Hawkeye.
Maybe Revell will release a new tooled soon in 1/72 scale, in fact, already make a great kit in 1/144.
Regards
In addition to the Heller release, the Fujimi kit has also appeared in a Testors box. Except for the decals, they are all the same. If you’re into 100% accuracy, take note that the canopy frames are in the wrong places.
