Based on the reviews of the Classic Aitframes kit, I’m holding my breath until the Airfix Canberra comes along. Anybody know when that might happen?

aparently arround july 2008, that is far away… I build some airfix kit before, and they aren´t great, soft details an poor fit. I never see the C.A. kit, but in the reviews you can see exellent level of detail and well, some fit issues, but I´m ussed to limited runs kits… the biggest problem is that the calsic airframes kit is very expensive (for me) arround 60 U$S. and of course, is hard to find

Here is the American version. Do’nt know if you could convert it to the version you are after.

thanks, but the b-57 is a very diferet plane, and I´m not a fan of convertions (lazy boy jejeje)one option is the canberra b-2 kit (I found somes in the net) and buy aftermarket decals, but the decals are hard to find (aztec made decals for the argentina´s ir force canberras, but is a limited edition) and cost about $15, and 50 or 60 more for the kit is way out of my budget

thanks!

It would be a difficulat conversion. Among other differences, the B-57 has a tandem cockpit under a long canopy. The Argentinian (ex-RAF) version has the original “dome” shaped canopy over a single pilot seat. The B-57 also has a “solid” nose as opposed to a “glass” nose.

I’d hang out until the Airfix release as well, I refuse to pay $100+ (australian) for that size kit.

Hell, a B36 Peacemaker is cheaper !
