I’m trying to find a B24M kit but so far no luck. I see Minicraft makes a 1/72 called Mama Foo Foo but all the E-hobby shops list it as out of stock “due in aug. sept. oct…” Anyone know of another 24M kit out there …Or…know where I can find a Mama Foo Foo (hint, hint)? Hannants have it listed as a “future release”, so it’s either not out yet, or it’s about to be brought back into production. Looks like you might have to be patient!
You can always check on Ebay. I have the 1/72 Minicraft B-24M “Tall Torid & Texas” which I purchased from Squadron about 3 years ago. This particular model does show up about once a month on Ebay. According to B-24 “zealots”, the Minicraft B-24M is not very accurate - but all the same I say it’s a great model. I check Ebay every now and then for this particular model because it has great box-top art. The last one I saw on Ebay (August 24th) sold for about $39.00 + shipping - a little bit much for me just for some boxtop art, so I didn’t bid on it. I’ve been checking periodically on Minicraft’s new release, and I’ll buy one no matter what - there are lots of superb 1/72 after-market decals for B-24M’s out there to be had.
