Hey guys,
Sometime in the near furture i would like to model some aircraft. I have some selected but i can’t find any kits, i was wondering if you guys would happen to know of any company that makes these kits:
Australian Commonwealth Boomerang
Australian Vultee Vengeance dive bomber
Australian P-40 Tomahawks (Australian name for the Warhawk)
even if you now of a kit that has the decals for any of these can you please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

All three you mentioned have been available as 1/72 scale kits. Airfix made the Boomerang and Frog made the Vengeance. The unfortunate part of this is that these two were produced a long time ago and nowhere near today’s standard of kit quality. I believe at one time or another Hasegawa issued their P-40E as an Australian Tomahawk. I have a Frog Vengeance if you want it. Has decals for 24 Sqn. RAAF, New Guinea, 1944. It’s really of no use to me and as a collector’s it’s not worth much. If you are willing to pay the postage costs to NZ, it’s yours!
Regards…
Pat
Hey,
thanks for that - as for the Vengance, it’s unbuilt?
I am still in school, and just asked my parents. they’d like to know what the costs may be, and the payment method…
Thanks for that
Hi. The Vengeance is unbuilt and in near-mint condition. I’ve had it for about 25 years. Box has some wear from being in storage all that time and the decal sheet looks good. I’ll scan the box and decal sheet and email to you. As for cost, I don’t know about that, but I’ll check with the post office and let you know.

That’s very nice of you Pat!!
If you know how much the kit weighs (plus add a bit for packaging), you could save yourself a trip to the post office and use the USPS International Calculator. [:)]
Hey,
Cheers, thats great, thanks mate.
I went onto Ebay last night and got me the Airfix Commonwealth Boomerang you were talking about [:)] - thanks for the reply to this topic.
AZ Models still makes the Vengeance in 1/48. Now, you’ll find a lot of content around the forums about problems with the kit in terms of shape and interior details, but it’s the only kit in 1/48 of that subject. I have one and I don’t mind the perceived issues with the kit, because I plan on finishing it as a USN whiffer.
Special Hobby makes a 1/48th scale kit of the Boomerang. Check it out at www.wonderlandmodels.com .
