Looking For A Modeling Club

Folks,

I moved to Columbus, Georgia, back in October of 2006, and, so far, I haven’t been able to find a modeling club here[:(!]. The nearest that shows up on the internet is in Macon, GA, which is about a 90-mile drive east of here[banghead]. There is a HobbyTownUSA here, but their bulletin board shows only D&D and role-playing clubs. Anybody know of any clubs around here, or maybe over in Phenix City, AL? Fort Benning is only 10 miles from my apartment, so you would think with a MAJOR military base that close, there would be a club or two around. Maybe I’m gonna have to start my own IPMS chapter here… Hmmmm, that’s not such a bad idea. I could name it after me! Yeah, that’s the ticket![:D][:P]

There use to be a club some years ago there - and Fort Benning had some real good modelers,

The Hobbytown in Auburn lets some modelers meet on Wensday’s

Call Steve the owner and asked him what dates they meet.

Thanks, seefivein. I was in the IPMS Roscoe Turner Club in Indy for quite a while, and we always had a great turn-out, and lots of output. Auburn, GA, is still a little too far for me, but maybe I can give them a try sometime. Thanks for the input!
