I have been searching in vain for any series (PA-5, PA-6, PA-7 or PA-8) of a Pitcairn Mailwing in any scale. This series of biplanes were designed and built by Harold Pitcairn at his factory that was located in Horsham, PA about 30 miles north of Philly. They were manufactured from 1927 until 1931.
My next idea is search for another biplane similar to the Mailwing and try to convert it to at least give the impression of one. Not many people are familiar with the Mailwing so I could tell them the mongrel was one and they most likely could not dispute me. But I would really like to find a kit of a Pticairn.
Here’s crossing my fingers.

I found plans to make your own out of balsa at Precision Cut Kits. Those are in numerous sizes at numerous prices. I found downloadable plans for free on outerzone.co.uk. There was a guy on Facebook who scratch built one out of resin and made castings of the parts as he went. He might have some to sell. I googled Pitcairn mailwing model kit and these are some of the hits that I got. The only Pitcairn’s that I found in plastic were helicopters. I hope this helps.
