I’m interested in modeling a Humvee for a buddy of mine who served with the 3rd ID in Baghdad 03-05. Can anyone reccommend a kit? I would prefer it to be of the up-armored variety with the 240 on the roof. Maybe I can get it started after the 4 other kits [(-D] and a buttload of figures I still need to finish. [sigh]

Unfortunately, there is no M1114 in plastic. Your best bet is to get the Tamiya M1025 and MIG Productions resin M1114 conversion set. It comes with just about all you need to build it as you describe above. For the M240B MG, Blast models has a good one, also, there are a few M240Gs (without front handguards) in the Dragon Modern MG set, and one in the Dragon Modern (OIF) US Marines set.
