I just wanted to share the outstanding models built for the BomberGrupper GB which has “officially” ended (but unoficially keep working on those builds!!!)
Seventeen people started off on the journey, with only a few going AWOL. We lost a few airplanes in the test flight stage (you know who you are!), one was re-assigned to the Eastern Front and a few more had some higher priorities to attend to, but the overall participation was great. Here is the fleet we’ve assembled:
Nice lookin’ group there, I must say! They’re all really sharp.
The Ju 388 is a nice addition (always good to see something unusual), and I’m also glad to see someone building Revell’s new Fw 200. I have the same kit, but I’d like to wait to start it. You see, I have “special” plans for it… [}:)]
John did a great job with the difficult Planet Models kit.
If the timing lines up, Lucien, maybe your “special plans” can find their way into a possible BomberGrupper GB II next year? It’s always nice to have something different in the fleet.
We’ll have to see. I’d like to have my Spruce Goose pretty much finished by then (or, at the VERY least have all the “stuff” glued together and on there) before I start any other projects. And when I start the Fw 200 I’ll have to figure out how to fit that AAA battery…
But I’ve said too much. [:D] We’ll have to see what’s going on with what, and see how things fall together. It could be the perfect excuse to start the thing- it’d be nice to build something that actually FITS, for once. [;)]
Congrats on a great GB, your highness [bow], even if my Do 335 wasnt allowed in LOL. This is a great idea to showcase all the entries. There is a lot of serious quality there. Count me in for Part II. I have a Spareverio with the GB’s name on it [tup]
