Got to love the cover of this months FSM magazine. Nice looking Bradley indeed.
Ah Stinger, remember the old saying “What goes up…must come down”
PS…can’t wait to see your armor build!
Let’s see now… They make aircraft into TANK BUSTERS, but not the other way around. Hmmmmmmm… I’d rather be FLYING!!! heeheeheeheehee!!![:D][:D][^][:)]
Maybe FSM should consider producing 2 mags a month. One on Armour and one on everything else. Well, we might let the ood ship build in, after all, they usually haul the armour overseas anyway.
Or, just to test the water dust… a dedicated armour bi-monthly. I know a lot of guys here in Oz that don’t subscribe to mags 'cause they have no interest in aircraft. They don’t want to spend money in advance on most of a mag they won’t read, and only buy any off the shelf if a quick peek shows them some armour of interest.
I ask you, what is an A/C’s real claim to fame? They spend 1/2 the day getting there, a coupla minutes in a dogfight or dropping bombs, burning off enough fuel to run the car for a couple of months, then the rest of the day going home. Flying a plane is just controlling a crash after all.
don’t forget that planes ( most ) need a runway and if artillery wipes out a grid square then the flight line is doomed.
The power of the dark side is strong in the Armor forum. I think we can catch them.

perhaps we should have another group build lets say hummmm flak and sam afv’s [:D] give the flyboys something to worry about.
i do agree though i’ve been buying the fsm magazine the last few months (only started modeling a few months ago) and i have been a bit disapointed with armor coverage. i’ll keep on buying it every month none the less, if nothing else just as a way to say thank you to them. FSM has been a great asset to this comunity and giving us these realy good message boards, without this place its unlikely i would have acquired the skills and techniques so fast and would have probably given up halfway in my first build
Air Superiority[?][?][?] [}:)][}:)][}:)]Not anymore since a lowly foot solder can now bring an aircraft down with a shoulder fired weapon.[}:)][}:)][}:)]
By the way stinger, welcome to the dark side, youll soon learn what Zimmerit is.
Oh yeah. When was the last time you heard a Tank Commander say “sorry we can’t drive off today, the weather is too bad”
Air Superiority is all fine and well, but you don’t own the ground unless you’re ON it!! [;)]
I’m in the AF and a/c definitly have their uses, but you can’t win the war just with them now can you? [:D]
Eric
especially when it was done by a member of this forum - Poniatowski!!!
I will definitely agree with you on that one, Eric.
Don’t get me wrong, guys, I am all too proud of our men and women in all the services.
I just couldn’t resist posting that comment to get a reaction [:D].
The term ‘Air Superiority’ really refers to control of the skies vs. an adversary’s Air Force, as in the first Gulf War, when Saddam’s pilots ran away and took their planes to Iran. In the latest war, you didn’t hear of one single air to air encounter.
Come to think of it, I have not met one single pilot who came away from VietNam (unless they were shot down and captured) and suffered from the experience as did so many ground unit personnel.
My heart goes out to all who are now serving and protecting our freedom.

That phrase is well known among pilots, but it is the landing that is the controlled crash. And anything you can walk away from is a good landing.
Did you guys see the clip on CNN yesterday on the wheels up emergency landing of a Cessna 335? Now that was a good landing!
