While I have no argument with Mark Hembree’s skill as a modeler. I was wondering why he modeled a Panzerschrek crew surveying a Polish tank wreck. The Panzerschreck didn’t get to the German soldiers until '43 or so. I think most of the Polish tanks were taken out far before that in '39.
Precisely. That’s why it would be ‘long term weathering’. Notice the Polish wreck has long since been destroyed and rusted. I think the scene shows Germans coming upon an old rusted hulk…not that it was these gentlemen that actually destroyed the tank.
To clarify, and give credit where credit is due, the modeler in question is Bruce McKinney. FSM associate editor Mark Hembree interviewed Bruce and wrote the article, but the modeling is all Bruce’s.
