log in issues

I created a new post as to not piggyback the others with the same issue. I cannot login on my android phone but have looged on with my laptop. laptop operating system is chrome and Windows 10. I use Chrome on my phone as well however??? hop this helps narrow down the gremlin in the system.

Only on my iPhone, not laptop.

I’ve only got a laptop, so nothing to compare with or use as an alternative. I read on one of these posts (yesterday, I think) that the trick was to clear the device’s browsing history & then log in. I did that about 3 minutes ago, and here I am, after a couple of days of not being able to log in.

Got on with my android but not the laptop. Not since yesterday.

yes, I never use my android, and have just been able to log in today.

I normally use my laptop with chrome and have not been able to log on since yesterday.

EDIT: deleted my Finescale cookies and logged right in just now. Thanks for the headsup.

I’m using Firefox on the computer still no go with that. Both my android and kindle get on fine, on the kindle right now actually. I dumped Firefox cookies no change.

Got in by dumping all my cookies in firefox and nothing else.

I was able to login to the FSM fome page, but I was unable to login to this forum. I was finally able to login to this forum by erasing the Finescale cookie in Safari. I still cannot login using Windows10.

Can you imagine how many members cannot login to this web forum. Such a shame!

If the IT people at FSM have enough time to screw up the login procedure you would think that they would have enough time to fix the email notification problem.

I deleted all FSM cookies on my Win10/Edge PC. I can login to the FSM home page but I still cannot login to the FSM Forum.

Well, the login situation seems to have been fixed.

Same problem here JK. I can log on but only the main page while on my pc but got on fine on my tablet. This is getting to be annoying.

Hey everyone! Sorry about the log-in issue (I too was locked out). If you delete your Cookies or try another brower you should be able to log in. The tech team is continuing to look into this. Thanks for your patience.

Elizabeth, thanks for jumping in here to help us. I cleaned up the cookies on my pc and still a no go using Chrome but can log in with Edge which I never use. Safari on my phone and tablet are ok for now. This is getting to be frustrating since it’s an on going problem that returns now and then. A couple of weeks back I was locked out on all browsers for a day or two.

I also deleted cookies and still couldn’t get in but then changed my password and everything seems to now be OK. Being somewhat computer illiterate I spend many hours regretting having deleted the cookies. It seems many months ago during a similar period of login difficulties we were told that upgrades were coming but that seems to have not happened.

I also want to thank Elizabeth who quickly responded to my email yesterday requesting help.

Add me to the list of those who had the same problem logging in from my Mac desktop until I cleared History. Able to log in immediately. Thanks for the suggestion.

I’m having the same problem logging in. I use Google Chrome, and everytime I tried, things just recycled back to the log-in page. I also changed my password. Still nothing.

It worked when I logged-in using MSN’s browser.

Ok I went on chrome and clicked on the 3 dots on the top right of the page. I then looked for the cookie thingie and deleted them. It apparently worked so let’s see how long this fix works. Didn’t work deleting the stuff on Windows 10.
