Model was originally released by Revell in 1957! Reissued by Atlantis Models. Built Out of the Box (OOB). Fairly straightforward build; sanded down the raised panel lines on the lower stage. Painted with Tamiya acrylics (except orange body - Rustoleum Rustic Orange).

The X-17 was a three-stage solid-fuel rocket used to test the effects of high-mach atmospheric reentry.

Looks good.
I am doing the same but building an Atlantis (Revell) 1955 2 ton truck. I was really surprised at how much model kits have improved over the years.

Hope mine comes out as good.
