Little Katie looking for the Future

My Tupolev SB-2 “Little Katie” is heading for her first coat of Future tonight.

I decided to leave all the clear parts off until the very end. Here’s the tail structure with the guy wires installed - there are two more on each side undernieth.

Tomorrow I’ll work on some decals and masking some clear parts.
If you have not been checking the Helicoper forum I have been sucked into the construction of my 1/48 Revell H-34G. All the parts just looked so good I could not resist the siren’s call. Here is the modified interior …

The kit floor is in the foreground and the new correct length floor is installed. The new cabin roof is in the background (the kit lacks this part). Just in case you are wondering, those are Cutting Edge resin parts for the cockpit and new cockpit floor. Here it is in the fuselage with the new cabin roof piece in place…

That cargo netting I made from strips of masking tape - I thought it looked pretty good.

All of this H-34G stuff was started today so that is progressing well.
Work has been stalled on the J7W2 conversion - maybe I can get started on that again next week. Would you believe that I also laid a new floor in the kitchen this weekend?

Geez Swanny, maybe you could teach me better time management, that would prob be the best modeling tip anyone could give me. That and teach me how to stay out of this darned forum and actually set down and twist open a bottle of paint!!! [:D][:D][:p] BTW nice work on both subjects…would it be to much to ask how you apply your Future?[%-)]

I am applying it with my Badger 360 airbrush, pressure set at 18psi, no thinning.

Hey Swanny,

Outrageous!!! Post pics when you’re done, I’d love to see it! By the way you got me into thisFuture thing, before May of this year I hadn’t touched a model in a bit over 15 years! Now I’m all over the place trying to catch up. It’s driving my wife nuts!

Regards and thanks,

Manny Prego

Hey Manny, just tell her it’s better than you hanging out at the bar or chasing other women - she’ll always know right where you are … at the model desk.

that sure is some good lookin detail

Keep those progress pictures coming, Swanny! She looks great!
(And I’m sure the kitchen floor looks great too, but keep the wife away from your bottle of Future!)[:D]
