Lion Roar Nebelwerfer 42 WIP - New Pics 7/21

Not had to much of a chance to build much in a while but I have been working this mostly. It’s Lion Roars first full kit and is a mind blower.

Here is the base pretty much assembled, which is about all the plastic that the kit has.

From there I started the barrels. I think there is around 225 photo etch parts alone, not to mention the little tiny plastic parts on the bottom of the barrel. This has been where a ton of time has been spent. I will say, Gator Glue was made for this sucker, worked perfect for all the little pe parts.

Want a size reference for it, here you go.

Yup, I am about cross eyed.[:)]

Little bit of clean up of glue and then I get to figure out how to get paint in between the barrels.

Some nice work there Chris! Do the barrels come pre-formed or do you have to assemble them?

I’m blind!!! Very nice work with such small detail

Rounds Complete!!

Oh!, you’re not going to tell me that all of the tiny bolt heads on the tubes were separate parts, are you? I’m very impressed with the level of detail and your clean assembly. Any plans for figures and a dio for this?

Don

Hello Lizardqing,

That is some amazing work. The ignition system is wickedly detailed. The plastic stuff looks nicely molded. The tires look really good. Almost bought one of these myself, but the level of the PE made me have second thoughts.[sigh] I’m glad to see someone building one of the 2 kits that LionRoar offer. It looks like you have mastered that PE stuff.

I think I read somewhere that LionRoar will be adding a BMW to their line up of 1/35 kits.

Best Regards,

That is some sweet work. Ive eyed this kit up for some time now. How much and where from big boy?

Cant wait to see some paint on her. What will you go for? Dunklegelb or dunkle with tiger stripes. Ive seen both and they look great.

…Guy

That is simply stunning, both the kit, and your workmanship.[bow]

Karl

OH.

MY.

GOD!

Amazing work on such a little piece!

Gotta applaud your patience! That looks like a real beast to tackle!

Thanks guys. Let’s see if I can answer the questions

Are all the bolts seperate parts? Here’s another previous pic of it

Yup, they are. 30 per tube x 5 tubes. Pretty crazy.

The barrels are pre formed. There is no way I could have gotten them perfectly round so that is a good thing.

Won’t be any figures from me. Never figred those little things out. [%-)] I might put it on a base of some sort for the simple fact it is so small I would wind up loseing it otherwise.

I think the price has dropped on it to about $40, when it came out it was twice that. I’d say it is really worth it. The turned aluminum rounds also came with mine but are sold seperately but I would highly reccomend them.

I am going with dunkel instead of grey, I think grey would just make so much of the detail hide. Have not decided yet about stripes.

It’s really not to bad of a kit to do though, you just have to really be patient. The PE is numerous but overall not real complicated with bending. The most challengeing was probably the rails inside the tubes because they were so thin and had to be bent in half at three small sections. Getting them glued in the tubes straight was the hardest part though.

After the you get done with this a fig should be childs play for you [bow].Come on give it a go you cant leave this little guy sitting out there all by its lonesome[:(]

You da man!! [bow] [bow] I woulda lost at least half of them to the carpet monster.

This looks like quite the challenge Chris. Good looking build, and I’m looking forward to seeing her in living color. Man, YOU have got patience.

WOW very nice PE work. I think I would have lost about half of the parts to the floor. Never to be seen till two builds later.

Keep up the great work!

Fantastic work. I was thinking about getting either this one of the six-barrel 41. I was gonna use plastic bolts – all those PE bolts would drive me nuts. Bravo!

Thanks again y’all.

Finally after months, it is ready for paint. Finished up the last little bit of PE and the brackets to hole the barrels to the base today. The main parts are just dry fit right now, no way I am completely out to drive my self nuts by painting with the whole thing together.

Chris, it looks like you are another fast/quick builder! Looking really nice!

Well considering I have been working on this one since late April, nah.
