I am going to ask again because I keep getting side tracked. I have found a source of plastic display cases (individual) that my armor fits in. I have a Shgerman and a Patton right now, on my desk dust free. My beautiful dauntlesses, corsaairs and the like are sitting home greying by the minute. Unfortunatley, I am delegated to my basement where the 2 cats inhabit with their Gosh darn awful kitty liter. Question, does anyone have a link to inexpensive clear display boxes that 1:48 aircraft can fit with their spread, not folded wings? I keep checking online and what I find is for armor or trains or a ton for racecars, nothing for my beautiful Midway Dauntless. Please give me a link, please.
check roll models for imex display cases. Thier largest one, which will fit most 1/48th scale fighters (12X12X6) is what I use is pretty cheap ($12.00 US).
be prepared to wait 2-3 weeks for shipment delivery as I thinbk they order it upon recieving your order.

Some fairly inexpensive display cases are also available from www.HistoricAviation.com. They have two cases that are made for 1/48 scale aircraft. One display case is a standard plastic (acrylic) display case and is something like $14.00 or so. They also have a “nicer” display case with wood (oak?) trim and plexiglass side and top windows for about $44.00. I just received two of the wooden ones as a Christmas gift and, for the price, they are fairly nice. I will be using them for the models which I am displaying in the more “living” part of my home.
I hadn’t heard of rollmodels before, but I will have to give them a try too.
