I’ve seen stacks of this kit at a closeout store nearby. “Toys” are going to be nearly half off this weekend. Is this old, reissued kit decent?
I know some of Lindberg’s old kits are pedestrian at best. I was wondering if it was worth the price (probably around $10 after discount and tax).
I saw this today also while I made a bee-line for the used book section where I picked up a copy of Lord’s “The Miracle of Dunkirk”.
Aside from raised panel lines (which do not bother me BTW), it’s a fair representation of its subject. Comes with a launch trailer. I wouldn’t go with the scheme as presented on the box, but paint it up operational. Of course, its Lindberg, so expect a lot of sanding and filing. It’s an old kit. But what do you expect for $10?

I think it’s a great kit. But I’m a bit of a sucker for kits like that. Got two Aurora X-13’s, they have the launch trailer. They are plain unless you add some greeblies.
Agreed. Many of the old Lindberg kits are neat rare-ish subjects. Most are pretty simple as kits go…but make a great basis for a little ‘detailing up.’ The price sounds irresistible to me.
