While 95% of my modeling has been in aircraft with the other 5% being cars, one of the first models that I built ( back in the mid 1950’s ) was Lindberg’s Flying Saucer. While the saucer was molded in silver with a clear canopy, the pilot figure was molded in GREEN plastic !
Anybody else out there remember that kit ?
JIm
Yes, I still have my kit hand painted in Pactra (remember that brand?) gunmetal (a silver metallic paint). Mine was made in glow-in-the-dark plastic, a very light green color. I know that Glencoe has reissued the kit and I see it for under $10 all the time at local shops. Take a trip to your local hobbyshop and see if you can find it.

I never new that kit had been re-issued in glow-in-the-dark plastic. If it had been like that when I got it in the early 1950’s, I would have totally freaked out over it !
