Does anybody know if there are available any model figures of Russian women pilots in WWII such as the ace Lilya Litvyak? I don’t mind if the likeness is not right, because basically what I’m looking for are generic models of Russian women pilots for a diorama. Apparently some of the PE-2 bombers were crewed by women too. Now that would be an idea for a diorama, an all-female crew leaving their PE-2, safely back at base after a mission.
Guessing that you are looking for 1/48 scale? I don’t know of any female Russian pilot figures in kits or AM sets, but a little scratchbuilding and/or putty work would make it easy to convert a male pilot figure to a female; in flying clothes all that would be required is some longer hair and…uh…some other anatomical features.
Do a little research and find some pictures of the pilot you want to model and go from there. Good luck!
