LHS local to Fort Dix, McGuire AFB?

Internet seach located three in local area. All were heavy into cars though, little or no Military (looking for 1/35 scale armor specifically).

Thanks,

Gary

How about www.hobbymasters.com in Red Bank,is that close by

I used to go to Don’s Air Hobby Shop when I was stationed at Dix. It’s mainly an aircraft model store. He also did a lot of unit plaques and award type things which was his main business. I believe the actual town is Lumberton on Rte 38 right outside of Pemberton.

I’d google the hobby shop and look for the phone number before looking for it. The last time I was there was either 2003 or 2004 so I don’t know if he’s still in business a decade later.

Tojo 72 & Rob,

Good info on both. I went to Hobbymaster Fri evening, it is about an hour away from Dix. Big shop, two floors with a little bit for everyone(planes, trains, tanks, cars and much more) ended up walking out with all the paint & supplies I forgot up north plus a couple more discounted kits for the stash. The encouraging thing I noticed though was that the place was packed with kids (8-16ish) The shop seemed to be a neighborhood hangout (in a good way) had to be 40 plus in there when I stopped by

Also found Don’s Air Hobby shop too, tucked away in a line of shops on 38 in Lumberton, only about 15 minutes away from Dix. He had closed by the time I got there Saturday but a peek in the window looked promising, I’ll stop by later this week and check out what he has to offer.

Tojo 72 & Rob,

Thanks much for the info!

Gary

I also just remembered the local malls in Burlington and Cherry Hill had a chain shop called Allied Hobbies. They usually had good selections and great clearance items. Again, haven’t been there in a decade or so and they may be out of business.

It is good to hear that Don’s Air Hobby is still in business.
