I bought a set of mask from this company a while back. Had to order them from AUS. Looks like the company is no more. The mask is for a poached egg pattern on an IT aircraft. Anybody out there ever use the mask? The directions are a little hazy. I would think you would paint the primary color first and then apply mask for the second and third colors. Am I wrong in this?

Looking at the directions on the one I have (which are sketchy as well) I think primary colour then add the other masks as upper layers… it kind of suggests that. Hope this helps.
I have the mask for the Hobby Boss 1/72 version (I go small,no room). I would think what you suggest was the was to go. But the direction read the opposite. Color C first then A then B. I could massage the reading to make it as spray B first then, put mask for color A, then mask for color C. At least that’s how I’m going to try. Let you know next week if it works. Wish me luck!
Well! Gave it a try. The instructions were of no help. The mask, all being rectangular, were impossible to place on the model with out major cutting. Because the mask were light gray they blended in to the main, base green, which made registration even harder. The numbers of the mask first had to be determined by finding and removing the cut out on the mask.. I improvised on parts and this is the results. I gave up attempting the second “B” mask as registration with the “A” mask was impossible. I hand painted the 'B" color. I think the amount of time it took to get any value from these was not worth it, But in 1/72 scale, I not sure most people will notice. Next time I’m going to look for a miniature stamp at Hobby Lobby.
