You can find them from Walthers - the model rail road guys, or at Great Models, Squadron or Roll Models. All these guys stock the sets. You’re probably best off to just buy the set because it includes several extra heads and arms so you can make a variety of figures. The ones pictured on the box are simply suggested assemblies. I have built two sets so far with few duplicate figures.
Hi Matt, I`ve used both the 1:72 and 1:48 Preiser kits in the past and offer the following:- In 1:72 their great, the detail in this scale is fine and they open up many diorama possibilities. In 1:48, the moulded detail tends to dissapear and is soft in this larger scale, the moulds are showing their age with lots of seam lines to remove, and details like collars, epaulets,ears, pockets etc are fine on one side and nonexistant on the other. Also,for some reason, Preiser have designed this set so that the sprue attaches to the model part at a visual point such as at the top or side of the head whereas if they had attached the part at the neck end cleaning up would be so much simpler. Still at the price (in the UK it works out at about 50p a figure) it still represents great value for a set.
