Lets say ya buggered it good...

Completely hypothetical, of course cough

But what if you put a decal on, had decal set, microsol, man it just laid down and stuck so nice, and an hour later you get to looking and have a homer simpson <doh!> moment and realise its very wrong in placement. Do you say artistic license, I always meant for it to be there, or is there some way of removing it so that you could actually re-use?

Honestly, nobody is gonna notice or care unless they’re also a modeler and savvy with these sorts of things. I think I care enough just out of principle I’d attempt a fix if I thought there was any chance of pulling it off, no pun intended.

ive done this, what I did was paint over it, and grab a replacement and checking my references put it in the right place.

Been there, done that…

Sometimes you can apply a very liberal dose of MicroSol until the decal loosens up and “floats” to allow you to carefully reposition it. That is if the decal held up? Otherwise I carefully apply a bit of masking tape over the decal to peel it off without disturbing the paint and then hope I have another decal to replace it!

Good Luck whatever you choose!
