hey Swanny,
the way your going just about all the 1/48 scale kits will be in your site in no time flat, where in the world do you get all the time to do all those kits?, and keep it up OLE GREAT ONE[bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow]
Joe, Cuda … thank you for the praise. I actually did the Ascender a few years ago and it has been on display at the airport. Just rotated it home this week and thought it would look good in the internet lineup.
Lovely Ascender Swanny!!! Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your outlook) I spend a good potion of my time in your “Complete Future”, and Fencing method pages. I got the fencing down, and even the sludge wash…just can’t get future to even out correctly yet (I keep getting ripples in my windshields after dipping them)…not giving up though!!!
Great looking model as usual Swanny!! Which airport was it displayed in? I’ve been through the Port Clinton airport… I don’t think I’ve ever been to the Sandusky airport.
There’s a word for blowing your own trumpet!!! [(-D][(-D][(-D]
Nice model Swanny!
Very nice Ascender, Swanny!
And I like your website, too. Thanks, mate.
Absolutely Swanny,
Your site has been an inspiration to me, and was responsible for finally getting me to try applications of Future in my modeling.
If I were looking for a Modeling Applications book, certainly, your Website would be a Best Seller. You may never know just how many have benefited from your collection of techniques and idea’s, and I’m sure you don’t get thanked enough for assembling/maintaining it, so please accept a heartfelt Thank You from this Old Hooker! [tup]
Kind Regards,
Frank
Aw shucks, Frank. Now you went and made me blush. Plus you just gave me an excuse for the #1000 post - thanks.
Swanny, just visited your web page for the first time. It’s amazing! Especially enjoyed the article on Future. If you’re not careful, you’re going to put FSM out of business. Or is FSM really you?!
Swanny,
I must say that you have a fantastic talent[bow][bow] Your models and web site are an insperation to many (probably all) of us[tup] I built my first model in 1944, a balsa plane. Since that time it has been on an off up through now. During that time I always looked for guidance on how to improve modeling[8D] Now after joing the Forum I found your posts, suggestions, teachings and web site[:)] Where were you when I started out in plastics[?] I read your post to the individual regarding which kits are better. Your answer tells it all about the sows ear and silk purse[:D][:D][:D]
Thanks for the help, I will be followiing you for some time to come and congratulations on number 1000[^]
Richard
It’s always a great trip, Swanny! You’re one of the masters, to be sure!
I can never get enough when I go to your site, I read more than I build.
Swanny, you have our permission to show-off whenever you like!! That’s a great ascender (especially the cockpit detail)! Can you post a side view of it here?
Oh, and congratulations, on your 4th star, buddy!!! [:D]
