I just bought Tamiyas new release of the Leopard II. It looks like a great kit with a few extras. The nagging part is what are the shells that open on the front of the turret? haven’t had any luck as far as researching that, any ideas?
Sounds like you are referring to the spaced armor wedges that attach to the front of the turret.
I’ve built the Tamiya Leopard 2A5. Yes it is a great kit but I’m a little vague on what you mean by your question. Like Rob said it might be the spaced armor wedge that is on the FRONT SIDES of the turret that you can swing out to access some panels.
Anyway, have fun building it. The Leopard 2 is my favorite tank… for the moment.
