When the Leopard A5 came out I bought a kit but before I even opened the box to start building it, the A6 came out. Im now thinking of converting the A5 to an A6. Aside from the long barrel is there any other difference between the two (in the kit, I mean). And where should I get my A6 cannon?
I just finished building the Tamiya Leo 2A6 myself and the kit is almost the exact same as the A5 the only addition is a small clear sprue and a new “E” sprue and all it has are some sign posts, 2 figures and the L55 cannon. All the other parts in the kit are the same as in the A5. As for where you can get a new barrel Voyager creates an excellent upgrade set for the 2A6 that includes everything you could ever need for creating the ultimate Leo and a great gun barrel bad news is though that it runs up at around 70 bucks and i don’t know of any manufacturers that sell just the gunbarrel.
P.S. its one heck of a kit though
Barrel Depot do an aluminium 120mm L/55 barrel for the Leopard 2A6 - BDT35033 Can’t help regarding availabiity though.
