I’ve got a model of an early (sqaure turret) Leopard 2. The instructions don’t tell you what colours to paint it. It looks like it is a single colour, so I’m guessing some kind of green or grey.
It is the 1/35 kit made by LEE. Also no figures came with the kit are there any after market ones I could get?

This is by no means an expert opinion. In the Tamiya kits, they call for olive drab. I didn’t think (no basis for this conclusion) that it would look right with a straight olive color, so to give it a bit more of a green color I just mixed Model Master FS34087 olive drab 75% with Model Master FS 34092 European Dark Green 25%. From some pictures ( of West German Leopards ) I’ve seen it didn’t look too bad to me. You may want to mix a small amount and see how it looks to you before attempting to paint an entire kit. Hope this helps you out.

The Italeri kit called it “bronze green” Model Master medium green FS 34102 is a close match for it, but most of them I worked with were Dutch and the green was a lot more gray. Of course you can go with the NATO woodland three color as well, both will work.
Thanks for the help guys. I thought it would be an Olive Drap kind of colour just wanted to make sure and see if there were any other colour options. Might make it a snow camo version. Whats the pest way to acheiv that look?
