Leo 2A5 to Leo 2A6 conversion

Apparently the only external difference between a Leo 2A5 and the 2A6 is the length of the gun. Does anyone make an aftermarket barrel you can swap with a Tamiya 2A5 kit to convert it?

I don’t want to go out and buy a whole new kit for a two-part plastic barrel that won’t look as good as an aluminim barrel anyway.

Larry,
Rather than buy another kit, try a website like www.thebarrelstore.com and see if there is an AM aluminum turned barrel available.

Yeah baby! Thanks. There are several L55 barrels there for the 2A6. Now I have only to figure out which one is best …

i’d always go for eduard over anything else, purely on my experiences with WWII armour…eg why buy say a jordi rubio when the muzzle is poor with loads of flash…i thought the whole point of alli barrels was to eliminate that kind of thing…eduard barrels from what i have seen are one piece…

…phew!

why dont you wait a couple of weeks and send for the replacement sprue from Tamiya
theres one extra sprue (Sprue D http://pmms.webace.com.au/reviews/vehicles/tamiya/tam35271d.htm ) in the New Tamiya kit

I did not know that you could even do that, Captain. Can I actually order the sprues for a Flak43 from the Mobilwagen kit? That would be so cool.

I’m a fan of aftermarket barrels though because I am a lazy sod, and I am not the kind of skilled model guy who can make a two-part kit barrel look good.

i havnt tryed it myself but over here they sell them

im sure theres been someone on here thats done it in the US (they might be free over there)
just wait till its out and ask the importers

They’re selling just the D sprue for the 2A6 by itself here in Japan. 360 yen ($3.27 USD). Saw a big basket of 'em at the LHS today.
