Leggo my Gekko *pics*

Tamiya 1/48th Japanese Naval Night Fighter:

Nakajima J1N1 Type 11 right? Amazing…it seems as though you finish a model or two every day.

Another beauty Eric. What color/brand of paint did you use on the propellers? It looks spot-on to me. [tup]

…yes…otherwise known as the Gekko…not sure why they called it that but it is easier to say than, Nakajima J1N1 Type 11…

Wow!that is one attractive aircraft! You did a great job and I like the red landing-gear indicators on the wings ,nice touch!

Great job on a cool plane. I must get one of these! Really, really nice-

Nice work, Eric. That’a an Irving in Allied terms, right?

I don’t venture to these parts very often, but when you see a title like this, you know it must be cool. Looks great, especially the masking and the cockpit detail.

Very, very nice work!!! I love this plane, it´s one of the best I ever work nice details, and GREAT fit.

this is my gekko, builded some years ago…

best regards and congratulation!!!

…thanks, yours also looks great!!! Maybe we can team them up for some nocturnal B-29 hunting?

Both are really nicely done.

Manny is a machine.

Well done MR.

Thanks, unfortunately the scheme was somewhat limited, as dark green works as good as black for NF purposes…I did add some tail stripes to denote a flight leader in red to give it a splash of color and also some yellow “kill” and “damaged” markings on the fueselage: cherry blossoms…there has been some debate as to wether or not there was a spotlight in the nose or if that was just a clear dome for visual purposes…most refs i have read say it was a glass dome, so that’s how I modeled it…
