I am an Spanish modeller and I am trying to build the LCPV from Fonderie Miniatures. I watched the article about it in this page but as always, nothing about the electric winch that opened the bow. I have been trying to contact Omaha Beach and Utah Beach Museums, D-Day Museum in New Orleans, the LCVP Challenge, with no result. The drawings appearing in Internet are not really good and I wonder if anyone in this site knows who this winch worked and if he/she has any drawing or picture with this boat in detail, mainly the electric winch and port side (equalizing seaver, etc) I would be really greatly.
Thanks to everyone indeed and sorry about the language mistakes.
Jeff,
What I do with my personal life is my business[swg]
Figure Modeler. I wish. Only completed one figure kit so far (Spiderman, he was at the Nats, didn’t win but who cares). Have a couple others to do (both Catwoman).
I just sell them.
I actually think I build anything. It is finishing models that I have a problem with.
I like pretty much anything in 72nd, aircraft, armor, ships (especially landing craft and patrol boats), sci-fi and will build the odd car kit (Herbie, Ecto, etc).
What about you? What else besided ships and 1/350 scale aircraft dios?
Actually, he’s almost done…I’ve converted him quite a bit though…Verlinden Panzergrenadier head, and replaced the Panzerfaust with an MG42, and he’ll have an MP40 slung over his shoulder. Kit went together very nicely, I have to look into more of those vinyl kits…
I’ll post up as soon as I get the primer down, over the next couple of days.
