Here are a few pics that I took tonight of my Australian Army helo’s… Again as usual. I use my Video camera to take the pics, so please forgive the quality!
Australian Army CH-47D Chinook
Australian Army Blackhawk
Australian Army “Aussie Tigre”
Australian Army Kiowa, Iriqouis(half built), Tigre, Blackhawk, and Chinook…
Nice choppers, Chris!! I got a decal sheet the other day for a 1/48 Vietnam-era Huey. I hope to do that on the next “Huey” GB I see, as long as it doesn’t start b4 next year! LOL - Calvin
I might need to get you to look for a set of RAAF Phantom decals for me mate… I got a set while I was back in Aus last week, but they only had one set… I will need a second set…
Not a problem, I emailed the details to work and I will order them for you tomorrow. I have to go on a training course for work so it will be at least a week BEFORE I get to the hobby shop. Let you know when I have them [:)]
Awesome looking helos Chris! You da Man! I need to get these now and start on my Australian Helicopter fleet. Let me know where to find the decals. I’ll need a few sheets!
Duke, as you may have read, I dont have access to Australian decals here in Japan… I dont know if I cant speak for Mike. But I am sure if you organise a deal, he might help you out?. If I had some spare, I would be happy to give them to you. But I have just had to get Mike to get me some more as I am short for what I have planned!
Thanks Chris. It may be awhile before I can start this, since I still need to increase my income (anything above zero would be great!) I’ll definitely keep that in mind though. Thanks again!
Thanks for the compliments guys!.. I have modeled just about everything with Japanese markings. In fact after I build the T-33 that is waiting for me, then I will have built every Jet used in Japanese service!.. So I thought it was time to do something from my own country!.. Problem is, I build so fast, that as soon as I had done all the of choppers. I then wanted to move on to the Aircraft, and so have now begun the voyage of doing every jet used in RAAF and Navy history…
But again, thanks for your comments… I always love looking at other peoples work, so thats why I always put mine up for show… I may not be the cleanest builder. But I enjoy this hobby very much! Not only for the building. But also the studying of each subject and its history… I also love talking to the other members here that always offer great advice and stories!
Well, we’re happy that you are part of the family, Chris! [:)] With each kit you build, you learn at least one new technique, and probably several… which show up on the next one you do. That’s what makes modeling so enjoyable! And like you said, the research compiled on each project only makes it better… and the people you get to talk to… and the variety of builds you get to see… shucks, Modeling just RULES!! [:)]
Thank you for sharing your fantastic obsession!
Take care,
Frank
Yes, an obsession I sometimes do have!.. My wife hates seeing me with a glimmer in my eye… When I get an idea in my head, then thats it!.. I simply cant just go into a store and just grab one kit to see me through till the next one. But like these choppers. I just had to get all of them at once, and have them in my posession while I am building. All the while drooling over the other boxes… The Chinook, I had to order from Hobby Easy in Hong Kong. So I was biting the nails waiting for that one to arrive!.. You are right. We do love this hobby!
