Here it is my latest project:
Nope, not the Citation. It is the ever valuable tug!! This is a tug that my boss bought from a military surpluss auction for $300. If I found one like that I would buy it for sure!! All we did was clean the carb, bleed the brakes, add some coolant, and toss in a battery, and she runs like a dream!!
The tug is a very square, and boxy unit, which I thought would be perfect for my first scratchbuild. And having it on hand for reference is gonna be a tremendous help. I was mentioning my thoughts of building this to my brother, and he immediately jumped on board. So we will be doing a “mini-group build” which will be cool.
It will be mostly stock styrene, but we will throw in a few PR parts, and do some kitbashing where necessary. The tug utilizes a Chrysler slant 6 which we were able to find on Detail master. So we will use that, plumb the engine, and plan on wiring up the indicators. This will be fun, and I will be sure to let you guys in on our progress. We are going to start on Thursday. The scale will be 1:24, and is going to compliment a future 1:24 aircraft which we haven’t picked out yet.[:D]
