At the risk of being acused of playing with dolls I submit my latest figure to see what you guys think.
This is a 1/6th scale Dragon figure-Zanis, with bits from other figures to change him into an officer.
Repainted a russain smg with oils and acrylics.
His face was repaints in oils.
A lot of time was spent getting the weathering done using both oils and pastle chalks.
I recovered his rubber crusher in real cloth with floral wire trim, then repainted the lot in acrylics and oil paints.
Spent about a month working on this, hardly shake the box, but I’m pleased with the results. I like working in this scale as I can make a figure of any time or place I choose and any pose I care to go for.
Nicely done.
The clothing on this piece looks good to. Sometihng I’ve noticed with these figures (there, we’ll call it a figure to save some dignity, rather than a doll) is that the clothing neer looks right in the fit department. Always bunched up or not cut and pressed properly to “hang correctly” and ends up looking like dolls clothes.
Youve done a good job here on the smock and pants and it looks right.
I like the paint job on the face. Much more character than the staring, pale gaze of most in this genre.
The abilty to pose these figures has been a plus in this.
Too often these come off as GI Joe look-alikes and has always been a turn off for me. This is clearly not the case here. And more the exception than the rule.
