Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) kits?

Hi all,

Do any of you know if a U.S. LCAC kit exists in a scale larger than 1/350? Ideally, I’d like to find one in in 1/72 or HO or even, (gulp!) 1/35. I know it’d be a big kit but I’m daring! (Or am I insane?)

Will I have to scratchbuild one?

I am only in the planning stages for this.
I already did a 1/72nd scale R/C WWII Japanese LST.
An LCAC and an LSD, or LPD is the next project from there.

I have already picked up one of these.

This was a possiblity also, but an LCAC carries 12 Humvees.

There are LCAC plans available from Floating Drydock.

For anyone else who is interested, I did some more research and found that someone is actually working on a multi-media kit of an LCAC in 1:72. Here is the link to a preview:

I contacted that will eventually be selling this item but they said it isn’t ready yet. Keeping my fingers crossed…

ALOHA, I KNOW THIS IS AN OLD POST OF YOURS BUT IT’S RIGHT UP MY ALLEY. I TOO WAS LOOKING FOR AN LCAC IN A LARGER SCALE, AND FOUND NONE.
