Hi gang,
I was in the middle of building 'ol Tamiya 1/35 KV-1B tank with Verlinden engine upgrade set.
Problem is that I have no idea what to paint the KV engine with (color wise).
Tried search the net but comes out nothing.
I wonder if someone here got some nice color pics of the KV engine or links.
Thanks in advance,
Ben
The V2K V-12 diesel engine was used in a number of Russian tanks, including the T-34 and the KV-1. These shots from a T-34 should work, though there are probably minor differences in wiring, hoses, etc.;

the motor is mostly aluminum, with cast iron exhaust manifolds–on many engines, the intake system is painted medium blue,fuel system components yellow,and water cooling pipes green-- some later motors dont seem to have thier parts color coded.- here is some pics of my t-34 motor, it is painted but is mostly aluminum looking-- as kykeon said, basically same deal for kv-1— treadwell[:P]

Hey Treadwell,
Are you sure you don’t have that machine from “Honey I Shrunk the Kids!” That engine looks phenominal. Fantastic work and brilliant finish the damn thing looks real! Incredible truly incredible.
