KV-1 & KV-2 Groupbuild? Start in early 2006

I’m a newbie here…how does this work? Does some one say “ready set go” or what? I actually have a couple KV-1’s under way, as well as a KV-2 - all Tamiya, one is OOTB as a paint test, the other two have a bunch of AMS to go with.

Welcome Cyberwombat. A Groupbuild can be very diverse, but usually entails everyone building the same thing, in this case a KV-1 or KV-2. It can be any brand and size. Sometimes they are more specific. The sharing of the building with other members (both good and bad) leads to good comradery and motivation to finish up a kit. Pictures are encouraged if possible. All GB’s have their own guidelines, but there is no penalties and whatnot if you fail to finish. They all have so-called start dates and deadlines to finish, but aren’t enforced nor could they be. GB’s are a great way to meet new members.

I did start this thread last year, but got sidelined with bigger things. I’d still like to get her going, but haven’t got my other projects finished. If anyone would like to takeover, feel free.

I guess I will start up an “official” thread this weekend then. I personally think it’s a fun GB idea and the fact that Trumpeter is STILL making MORE of their excellent KV series tanks. Will include everyone who has signed up so far so if anyone has any change of hearts, do post it up.

Feel free to take over the GB Ryan. I may hop into it yet. I’m also trying to clean out my hobby-room to get motivated. A big mess everywhere, it’s like who wants to build under those circumstances?
