Korean War T34s

Hi

Which T34s served in Korea. I have the Tamiya 1943 production version with the Steel wheels and haxagonal turret. I want to incorporate it into a diorama with the Dragon Korean War Chinese Volunteers (in Winter Uniform) Is this historically accurate? any refernce photos available?

I don’t know where you live, but there’s a nice Korean War T34 at the Patton Museum. Kinda ugly, but it’s the real deal.

Most of the Communist armor action was during the initial three months of the Korean War. Most accounts of combat involving the Chinese are of massed “human wave” infantry attacks along with heavy artillery and mortar bombardments. While there were accounts of some Chinese use of tanks during the winter 1950/51 offensive, those actions were in the minority. Once the front stabilized in 1951 the terrain and combat style were not conducive to mobile armored warfare. In Korea, the model of T-34 used was the T-34/85, not the T-34/76 you have.
