This is my 1/48 Komet that I did oob. Not much detail to this kit but plenty of room for add ons. This was my first attempt at a full resin kit.[:p] I have a different canopy that I want use in the open position, I just placed this one on here for the pic.

Thad
thad it looks very good. well done with the paint.

Thad,
Is that the Czech Model kit? I know Huma makes a 1/72 scale kit of this a/c.
How did this build go, any problems with it?
Nice work on the model and camouflage painting!

Awesome… very good work… I have a 1/72 Me-163… is that the Me-263?.. I don’t know too much about this plane…
Great cammo ! (I hope that in few years i could make something similar cos for now it is big headache ) Hope that you will somehow mask that decal silvering !
Yes, excellent work on a resin kit, and excellent work on the camo! [:)]
Sitting that close to the other dio base makes it even more intriguing! [;)]
Thanks,
Take care,
Frank
Joe , Frank thanks for the comments
Maxtrixone-Ya its is the Czech kit, simple build no problems on the fit.
Zeroenna - It is the ME 263
Dragan- When the decales did that it did bring a downer on the build but I dont know how to fix that problem.

Nice build. Luftwaffe wingie thingies is not my cup of tea, but the craftsmanship looks good. If you have already overcoated the decals with clear, you are pretty much stuck with what you have. If not, put some solvaset on them in repeated applications and see if it helps. Extreme case, take a fresh #11 x-acto blade and lightly trim around the decal area and gently slide the tip under the clear part and lift off. This risks marring the paint, so you have to decide how badly you want to get rid of the silvering. You could chalk it up as an experiment to see what works and if the results are worth it.

Nice camo paint job, good looking model
Jerry
Nice work Thad. Great job on the camo.
Regards, Rick
I’m with yardbird, unless you have already put your overcoat on solvaset or solvasol in repeated application should do it… if you’ve already coated it I have never done this, but know of others you have drybrushed whatever color (in this case black and the camo colors on the edges) to camoflouge the silvering a bit…
but silvering be damned! that is STILL a good looking kit! how did you do the camo? it looks very smooth…
great job!
you might really wnat to use another canopy because this one is fogged up!
Jerry, Rick, Jinithith2, Thanks for the comments
Darwin, Thanks for the tip
Tom- Three different colors put on lightly (light to dark). A/B shadow lines on the different shapes. Then I mist the whole bird.
Thad
Nice build, Thad. Camo looks super.
Mark
