Looking good Greg! Don’t forget to post finished pics as well.

Excellent work-- it will be most impressive when finished.

Looks good so far Greg. Did you have to use much filler on it? On mine I had to use so much filler and styrene strips between the half’s of the neck I thought I’d never get it looking right.

Hey Greg, Your Bird of Prey is looking good! I can’t wait to see the finished model. I been trying to ICQ you but I get an error message from their meet people page!?[:(]

Looking pretty good, Greg. Should look great when you finish the weathering process.

Looking very good Greg. Can’t wait to see the finished model.

Nice BoP, Greg!

Cheers guys, i’ll post pics when she’s finished. i didn’t have to use much filler but i am having trouble with the wing joint lines splitting (as can be seen in the pic) they where slightly twisted and i straightend them as best i could. one thing i did do was alter the angle of the wings, there is two options in the kit - drooped(the attack position) and raised (for cruising) the wings in the cruise position are too flat so i cut back the parts that the wings attach to to give the correct angle. again cheers. Greg

What method do you intend to use to weather it and how will you do the “blast scorching”? I am still learning to weather and have yet to gather the “kahuntas” to weather one of my Trek models. i practice on my cheaper kits.

Hi Martian, i am using drybrushing and stippling for the weathering, the blast scorching will be by stippling (i use a small, wide, round makeup brush for this that i “borrowed” from the wifeies makeup bag (don’t tell your wives i gave you this tip [:D]). Greg

It’s looking good, Greg. I’m not greatly familiar with Star Trek [oops] stuff, but I’ve seen that shape in a lot of show and in FSM as well. Yours look good! Many decals on that ship? Wouldn’t it be better to get the decals then complete the weathering?

Hi Domi, there are not very many decals on this one, i will be attaching them before i finish the weathering and scorching (there is quite alot to do yet). thanks for the complements. Greg
