WOW. That’s a sweet plane. I’m gonna have to buy one in, like, the next five minutes.
Awesome build, Mr. Von. I admire your skills.

PS–Is the kit still available through retail channels? Or only on Evil Bay?
Cool ! Makes me want to finish mine. It is a very well enginered kit.
It is a great kit and you did a nice job putting it together. Is it me or is the prop really far out though?
Any trouble getting the turret in? Even after reading AccMin instructions on their website I found it took some finesse and plain luck to get in.
Duh. I can buy it from the AM web site. ![]()

Wow, that a sweet build.
I just saw one on ebay this night but it was with another plane

…there are several versions of this plane, different markings, etc…but I have found lately that you can save some money by just buying the cheapest version on sale…there is even one w/ George Bush’s plane’s markings…
Sweet build Manny![tup] Your skills are top shelf. I got AM TBF in the Secret Santa GB last year from Zipmeister(thank you again Zippy!, I highly recomend joining this years, JWB and all who participate are a great bunch[tup].) I agree this kit is one of the best, I had to put the build on hold to get my stuff/references/detail pics together to do it justice. Real nice job again Manstein.[8D]
Nice work, Eric. Great job on the panel lines. I second your comment on the niceness of the kit.
Good stuff
She’s a great lookin bird!!! Wonderful job!!!
Manny, your armor models and dio’s are a pleasure to behold, but man…your planes are just in another league, totally!
This is another beaut; the fine detailing and flawless paint is really just amazing!
Yah, the G.W. variant is the one I’ve got my eye on:

Apparently comes with the kiwi decals.

…thanks, doog—coming from one of the finest armor modelers I’ve seen, that means a lot…
Another outstanding bird, Eric! Thanks for sharing. [tup]
Great plane. Great marking. Great job.[tup]
Very nice job. Actually, it’s a great build. The AM kit is loaded with detail, but can be a bear in certain sections. The turret build and insertion is challenging, to say the least. Great job & thanks for sharing.
…thanks, everyone—hope to post some more builds over the weekend…
If you do the Kiwi just be aware that the colors were somewhat different than the std. Navy three-color measure…the Aussies and New Zealanders used more “bright” blues in their schemes that made them more attractive, IMO…
great work. I am particulary impressed with your decal work. May I ask, did you use aftermarket and what technique did you utilize.
Another beautiful aircraft! And perhaps one i should add to my own stash at some point.
I’m curious to know though- what made you decide to use the New Zealand markings?
