Can anyone tell me about these kits. I haven’t heard anything all that good about them. Anyway I just went onto their web site and looked and to my surprise the F-14’s, F-16’s, EA-6B’s, and their F-18’s looked real nice (on the outside), recessed panel lines correct shapes, the tomcats even have dropped flaps. It seems to good to be true so I thought I’d ask. I kind of got the immpression they just btook pictures of assembled hasegawa kits. Check it out!www.kiuhung.com
i have two of there su-27 things (if you can call them that), absolute garbage in my opinion but i’m sure someone could do some justice to kitech kits with major tlc.
iI am sorry to say I heard about that make dont even waste ur time and money even if they were free you would spend more mone fixing it up than buying a good make [banghead]
Kitech is a very very poor brand.
Kitech is also know as Zhendefu, they produce copies of italeri and academy kits. The quality of these copies is bad. Known issues are: unuseable decals, distorted clear pieces and loss of detail due to the copying. I do not know if these copies are pirated or licensed.
I have some because they where cheap and I was curious about the quality but I don’t think I will ever build them.
I looked at the site and it appears that at least one is a Hasegawa copy. The 1/72 Weapons set. They didn’t even bother changing the artwork!!!
If you ever think about buying these kits, then you might as well throw your money in the garbage (or you can just give it to me) because I bought two of these kits due to their irresisable price and they were a total waste of time and money. Now only did they have minimum detal, but the fit was terrible. They had the biggest gap I’ve ever seen in any kit. They are terrible, useless copys of other models. They quality is so bad that I though they made molds out of dirt. Bottom line is, don’t buy these kit. Some people say that you get what you pay for, I say if you buy kitech kits you don’t get what you pay for. You should put your money to better use. Even Revell kits make kitech look bad.
I saw a Kitech EA-6B in the toy store for 4 bucks. I thought how could I go wrong? I went wrong. Absolute trash. I should have just burned my money.
The worst of the worst. Worse than Starfix. The clearance store/bargain basement stores in Australia sell them for about AU$7 (Armour) to AU $15 (Aircraft) I buy them for my 9 year old to learn his skills on.
