Kitbashed 1:12 Gurney F1 Eagle

Many years ago, I built a Tamiya 1:12 Honda F1. Nineteen years ago, while moving to a new house the Honda ended up being literally “kitbashed” with the suspension being broken and the decals scratched. Into my stash it went until this year. When I pulled it out I found that the tires had deteriorated.

Thanks to the internet, I was able to find replacement tires from an aftermarket supplier in Japan and this inspired me to rebuild my Honda, but not as a Honda, as a Gurney F1 Eagle.

Sorry for the ‘kitbashing’ of the Honda but you’ve built a great model out of the parts! To say it’s impressive is an understatement.

Gurney’s F1 Eagle is a kit I’d love to see Tamiya or Ebbro do.

Wow that looks sharp. Nice job.

Thank you. It actually came out better than I thought. It would have been much easier if it hadn’t been already built as a Honda.
