Just cause you don’t hear anything, doesn’t mean we’re not reading. I’ve been following this discussion since it began. I’m just not sure what I think about this at the moment. [:)]
Lufbery makes a good point – “Do we really need another set of reviews?”. There’s tons of reviews out on the Internet, the FSM workbench reviews and then reviews posted by members here in the forum. But then I think, perhaps what’s being discussed is a way to quickly locate and identify kit reviews posted in the forums (topics can get buried quickly). Or perhaps it’s a combination of everything?
So many ideas…so little time… [:)]
Well, David, it’s not like you’re busy, right. [;)]
Thanks for weighing in.

HEY,
Well at least you guys know the idea is out there and that it is generally accepted as a good idea. You got the point, a quick way to find kit reveiws by builders for builders. Well, hope you guys like the idea cuz it could be useful.

To be honest, David, if and when I think of purchasing a particular kit, I do try to obtain as many references on it as I can. So yet another review is, for me, useful. I’m not either necessarily talking about full blown review, from the day of purchase to the first contest. Those are useful, but ‘first impression’ reviews can also be interesting, because you may not know that the latest Revell kit you just bought was in fact released 20 years ago by Hasegawa or else…
A separate ‘place’ for such reviews, full blown or not, would be useful to many I’m sure. I mean I still do visit regularly other modelling sites, but this remains my primary target and exchange (of info) place, and this review forum is just missing from this fabulous site.
As to putting things in ‘order’, well, if it is possible, I would not mind keeping the reviews in a hopefully sensible filing system (I work for the libraries!)… If a forum could be created with various folders for type of models (cars, AFVs,…), then it would be easy to arrange new entries accordingly, in alpha-numerical order…
My thoughts as far as another review site?
Domi may build a Heller CL-415 and find it fairly easy, with few modifications needed to make a decent replica.
On the other hand, Drew may find the kit a bit of a challenge and explain any problems he might have.
So, I see another review site as another tool to help out.

I try to make this my one modelling stop so I don’t spend time hunting through the internet to find a kit review. I think the idea for a review forum has merit.
HEY,
Im with nichol, this and scal auto are the only places i go cuz its nice. If anything, the news of you guys having kit reveiws would only bring business.
