Hopefully I’ll get the styrene sheet and strips this weekend. Plans are laid out and ready, just trying to finish an RAF group build so I can move on.
For the top surface, do you have diamond plate? I looked online and didn’t see that pattern anywhere but that’s what the plans call for. Maybe I just didn’t do my search correctly??? I figured the LHS might have the catwalk material in their rail road section.
Yeah, that’s a good one. I didn’t have good pictures of the top until after I built mine, so I didn’t know it had diamond plate on it. 
Maybe you’re plans from the drydock are different than mine!
Plastruct makes diamond plate in 1/48th (and other scales), so I had planned to get some for the walkways that hang off the catapult. I’ve seen it in their catalog (cat no. PS-152), but my local hobby shop didn’t have any in stock, so I’ve not seen it in person. The website’s description says it’s vac formed, so I’m not sure how stiff it is. It might be a good idea to sandwich it with another piece of styrene.
