Had to see how my crew looked after being issued their new Tiger 2 (still in progress) The commander is holding an actual Battle of the Bulge map, I resized.
Wish I had a better camera, the pictures aren’t all that great [8)]

Coming together for you Erock68.
Tell us about how you achieved the camo pattern.
Ahhhh, ambush pattern. My favorite.
Looking real good!
About the Ambush Pattern,
I have numerous reference pictures of the King Tiger but, most are in black and white. I do have color pictures of the few tanks that are on display and came up with a pattern that is a combination.
I first started off with the base color of Testors Sandgelb RLM 79. I proceeded with stripes of Dark Military Brown and Dark Field Green. After that, I just “freehand” with my airbrush and bring some of the colors together. The main thing I was trying to keep in mind is, what / how a crew would apply theirs in the field.
I then used a fine tipped brush and added the spots (I am building the Tamiya Ardennes version) This was the toughest part, believe it or not. Not too many but, not overdoing it. The pictures make the lighter spots stick out more, which is not the case when viewing it in normal light. When complete, I will get better shots outdoors. Also, my dull coat has not been added yet, this may be the problem.
Thanks for all the compliments and feedback!
