I saw an F-16 by a manufacturer Kinetic. Has anybody seen their kits? How are they?
I haven’t seen one, but here is a review:

It’s not worth it. Use your money more wisely and get the much more accurate and better engineered Tamiya kit. In fact, the Kinetic kit is a near-rote copy of the Tamiya kit. But they only did a half decent job copying the parts. The surface is pebbly and details are rough. There are also marked lack of detail in several places, especially the engine fan faces and burner cans. The weapons are also misshapen and deeply grooved. Much has been said about the lower price. Well if you look at the price on LuckyModel, it’s not much less than the Tamiya kit, shipped. In the case of these kits, you get what you pay for.
Thanks! That was very helpful.
Michael Benolkin at Cybermodeler said, “On opening the box, you’ll see some serious details and tooling that clearly is designed to take this subject into areas not yet seen in kit form.” Are you talking about the same model?
“This is the nicest array of external stores that I can recall being included in one kit.” said Michael. “Before I forget, there is the F100 engine nozzle. Remember all of the aftermarket nozzles that have been released because the details inside the nozzle are either too soft or non-existent? I don’t know what Kinetic is using for molding technology, but this is the nicest detailing I’ve seen down a 1/48 scale F100 nozzle to date. Nice work!”
Yes, there must be two different molds.
You’re absolutely right, becuase he’s certainly not talking about the Kinetic kit. Or he’s rather delusional. The kit doesn’t go anywhere that hasn’t been before, its clearly a copy of the Tamiya kit. This fact is indisputable. If Kinetic really wanted to take this subject into “areas not seen in kit form”, then they’d have made their own original tooling, not standing on the shoulders of a giant. And there aren’t many areas in this subject that aren’t available in kit form. And as far as F100 nozzles go, there hasn’t been one better than the Aires. I’ve seen the Kinetic nozzles, and they are not up to par. I don’t feel he knows much about the F-16 and the current crop of F-16 kits.
